The JV Cowboys suffered a tough loss to the Ledford JV baseball team on Saturday by a score of 6-3. Southwest had a 3-1 lead in the third after RBI singles from Tripp Anthony in the 1st, Cade Allred, & Jacob Shafer (in the 3rd) before Ledford rallied with a run in the 3rd and 3 more in the 5th. Ledford would add a run in the 6th to make the final score 6-3. Southwest falls to 5-1 on the seaoson and was led at the plate by Anthony (3-4, RBI) and Allred (1-3, RBI). Starting pitcher Owen Kincaid (1-1) took the loss (3.1 IP, 5 runs, 3 strikeouts) and Tyler Lloyd (2.2 IP, 1 run, 2 strikeouts) finished out the game on the mound. Southwest returns to action on Tuesday night as they open conference play at 5:30 at Glenn.
