The JV Cowboy baseball team defeated Trinity 8-4 in their first home contest of the season.  Trinity jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first after some shaky defense, but the team rallied to take a 4-3 by the 3rd inning.  After Trinity tied the game in the 4th inning before Southwest took the lead for good in the 5th on an RBI double by Brandon Cecillo.  Seth Witmeyer pitch a solid 4 innings before being relieved by Tyler Lloyd, who picked up the win by pitching the 5th and recording 2 strikeouts.  Andy Payne came in to strike out the side in the 6th before Cade Allred also recorded 3 strikeouts to close out the game.  Southwest was led at the plate by Eli Mills who went 3-4 with an RBI, Ryan Croom (2-4, 2 RBIs) and Cecillo (1-2, 2 RBIs).  The Cowboys return to action on Firday at 4:30 against Grimsley.
