WESTERN GUILFORD HIGH SCHOOL: 42
The Cowboys once again had a fast start and jumped out to a commanding 35-14 lead at the half. Western Guilford showed some serious fight and toughness clawing back into the game but ultimately falling short. Southwest was able to tack on 14 more points in the second half to keep Western at bay, winning 49 - 42 in an exciting finish. Our Cowboys were led by Justin Hensley's 239 yard, 5 touchdown passing performance. This marks the second week in a row that a Cowboy has thrown for at least 200 yards (Ericc Cunningham 300+ vs Ledford). Rick Mack proved his 376 yard performance against Ledford wasn't a fluke by following it up with 246 all purpose yards and 5 total touchdowns (3 receiving and 2 rushing). Some of the young Cowboys got in on the action with Jeremiah Brown scoring 2 receiving touchdowns and Orlando Smith intercepting a pass.
