The Cowboys pulled out a hard fought win in their first game of the season, defeating the Cougars of Rockingham County 28-14. After playing to a 14-14 tie midway through the 3rd quarter, the Cowboys reeled off 14 unanswered points in earning Coach Eric Rainey his first victory as a head coach.
